15-Day Return Policy
We have a 15-day return policy, which means you have 15 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • Your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
  • You’ll need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase.

How to Start a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at hello@thrivinginmelanin.com. Returns must be sent to the address provided on your order or receipt.

  • If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label along with detailed instructions on how and where to send your package.
  • Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if:

  • The item is defective or damaged.
  • You receive the wrong item.

We will evaluate the issue and make it right as quickly as possible.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers, or plants).
  • Custom or personalized products.
  • Personal care items (e.g., beauty products).
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.

Additionally, sale or discounted items and gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you wish to exchange an item:

  1. Return the item you do not want, following the return guidelines above.
  2. Place a separate order for the desired item.

Cancellations

As orders are processed quickly, we cannot cancel orders once they have been placed. Please ensure all order details are correct before completing your purchase.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved. If approved:

  • The refund will be issued for the cost of the goods, excluding the original shipping cost.
  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note: It may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

International Orders and Customs Fees

For orders shipped internationally:

  • Additional fees such as customs duties, taxes, and brokerage fees may apply. These charges are determined by your country’s regulations and are the sole responsibility of the customer.
  • We are unable to predict or control these charges. Please check your country’s policies for details regarding any additional fees.

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.

  • Items must still meet the eligibility for return guidelines: unworn, unused, with tags, and in their original packaging.
  • You will need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase.
